PURPOSE:To enable a center mark to be automatically printed, by a method wherein a center mark is recorded at a leading end part of a side end part of a recording paper on the basis of a signal from a detecting means for the size of the recording paper. CONSTITUTION:In response to the reception of a printing command (a), it is judged in STEP1 whether or not a center mark printing designation is supplied, and where the center mark printing designation is not present, ordinary printing is conducted. Next, in STEP2-STEP6, the size of a printing paper is discriminated. Where the paper size is B5, the process jumps to STEP13. A center mark generating circuit 38A shown is STEP13 generates a signal for printing 150 dots. In STEP14, 10 clocks are set on a counter C, the center mark is printed, and the counter starts counting a count number N2. It is judged in STEP16 whether or not the count number N2 has reached 10, and when the count number has reached 10, the printing of the center mark is finished. |
