PURPOSE:To industrially and advantageously obtain the titled compound useful for a remedial agent, etc. for spastic paralysis, motor paralysis caused by enhanced myotonia, etc., having a central muscle relaxing action, good drug effect and continuation, by oxidizing a specific optically active alcohol. CONSTITUTION:An alcohol expressed by formula I [R1 represents formula II (R11 represents trihalogenomethyl or lower alkyl; R12 represents H or lower alkyl) or formula III (R13 represents H or lower alkoxyl); R2 represents lower alkyl; R3 represents pyrrolidino or piperidino; star mark shows d- or l-configuration] [example; 2-ethyl-1-(5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-4-methoxynaphthyl)-3-pyrrolid-ino-1- propanol, etc.] is oxidized to afford the aimed optically active compound expressed by formula IV [example; d-2-ethyl-1-(5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-4- methoxynaphthyl)-3-pyrrol-idino-1-propanone hydrochloride, etc.]. |
