NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I {R<1> is lower alkyl or allyl; R<2> is lower haloalkyl, alkenyl, 3-halo-2-hydroxypropyl or group of formula II [R<3> is H, lower alkyl, lower alkoxycarbonyl or phenyl; R<4> is (substituted)phenyl, heterocyclic group or lower alkoxycarbonyl]}. PREPARATION:The compound of formula III (M is H or alkali metal) is made to react with the compound of formula R<2>X (X is halogen) preferably in the presence of a condensation agent (e.g. 2-chloro-1-methylpyridinium tosylate) usually in a solvent such as benzene at a temperature between room temperature and the boiling point of the solvent. |
