Networklike textile reinforcement for bituminous compositions for surface coatings of buildings

The reinforcement of the invention is used for bituminous compositions for surface coats of buildings, in particular for roofs, for example in roof repair. The reinforcement, which has the known warp-knit construction of fringe with weft, combines film threads at least in the weft thread system with lofty, fibrous threads whose mass fraction is at least 50%. The lofty, fibrous threads used can be flat nonwoven threads. The strength of the reinforcement is primarily due to the film threads, while the lofty threads contribute decisively to the stability and to the mass. These lofty threads are very absorbent and so ensure very good adhesion to the bituminous composition.
