PURPOSE:To reproduce picture data to one near to an original picture correctly at the time of a reproduction even when the picture data is slightly erroneously received by converting two-dimentionally the arrangement of the picture data at random and rearranging in a receiving side. CONSTITUTION:A picture compressing and reproducing circuit 17 transforms a video signal from a picture memory 13 to a luminance signal Y and color difference signals I, Q having little redundancy compressing, coded, developed according to a format shown in the drawing, the arrangement is two-dimensionally converted at random, stored in the memory 13 and fed to a modem line control circuit 18. A header F is added to the color difference signals I, Q of this transmitted data and a numeric character showing a header FF and the length of the data is added to the luminance signal Y. In the receiving side, whether the data is correctly transferred or not to the position arrangement of the header F is discriminated in the receiving side according to the number of the data of a line. When there is an error in the line, the preceding line is used in place of the line, when the error of the signal I, Q is present, it is neglected and only the signal Y is reproduced. Even when a data damage 30 as shown in the drawing is received, the arrangement is converted at random, the damage 30 is not apparently noticed in a reproduced picture. |
