PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to easily judge the read result of a bar code scanner even in an environment of being dark around the scanner or affected by noises or the like by controlling a vibrator while judging whether the read result of a bar code is normal or not when the bar code is read. SOLUTION: Before reading the bar code, specified vibration patterns to vibrate a vibration pot 8 at normal time and an abnormal time are respectively set. The be code is read by a bar code reading pot 2. The read bar code data are decoded by a bar code decode part 3. A microcomputer control part 1 judged whether the result is normal or not. Based on the judged result, the microcomputer control part 1 controls the vibration part 8 so as to vibrate the previously set specified vibration pattern when data are normal but to vibrate the bar code scanner in a preset specified vibration pattern when the data are abnormal. |
