摘要 PURPOSE:To observe the incision depth of a region to be incised by a means separate from an endoscope and to achieve the safety and certainty of operation by providing an ultrasonic measuring means having the diagnostic surface partially overlapped with an incision part. CONSTITUTION:The water supply pipe 18 and drain pipe 19 arranged in a catheter are opened each at one end to the interior of a balloon 17 and the other end of each of said pipes 18, 19 is connected to the water supply and drain apparatus of the outside. A physiological saline solution 20 is introduced into the balloon 17 as an ultrasonic wave transmitting medium through the water supply pipe 18 and the balloon 17 is inflated toward an incision part 6. Hereupon, the expanded leading end surface of the balloon 17 is brought into contact with the incision part 6 and a region to be incised such as a nipple part under pressure and, by this method, a part of the diagnostic surface 21 of an ultrasonic measuring means 15 is overlapped with the incision part 6. As mentioned above, when the nipple part of the duodenum is incised by the incision part 6, the incision depth of the nipple part by the incision part 6 can be certainly confirmed by an ultrasonic measuring means 15 being a means separate from an endoscope and operation can be performed safely and certainly.
