<p>A computer diskette dispenser and storage device (12) comprising a box-type container (16) with one open side (17), or a side that can be opened, into which a plurality of labeled slots (20) suitable for the insertion of computer disks (19) or the like is provided and into each slot (20) is positioned a spring-clip mechanism (10) which may be independently activated in one configuration of said diskette dispenser (12), by an external implement such as a pen (69), or in another configuration of said diskette dispenser (12), by a lockable selector-button (35) which will simultaneously point to an index (14), such as a numbered or name index, and dispense any correspondingly numbered or named disk when the seelector-button (35) is depressed, or dispense any sequence of numbered or named disks corresponding to that portion of the index which the selector-button (35) slides over while being depressed at the same time. The problem of storage and the quick selection and retrieval of a particular computer diskette is solved by the invention.</p> |
