The scissors-type lifting table has a base frame and a table-like platform which are connected together by at least one pair of crossing scissor arms, (3,4) pinned together (7) so that they can swivel about the hinge point. One end of an arm is fixed so that it can swivel only while its other end can swivel and slide either on the underside of the platform or on hte upper side of the base. At least one arm has attached to it a hydraulic cylinder (8) for lifting the platform. One end of the cylinder is pinned to an arm while the other end is pinned to the end of the other arm sliding in a slot on the base. Angle sections are used for the base and under the platform. USE/ADVANTAGE - The advantage is that the platform can be lowered right down to the base frame. It is suitable for commercial use.
