PURPOSE:In the X-ray diffraction spectrum with respect to a Cu-Ka beam, to elevate photoelectric conversion efficiency and to make it inexpensive by making it contain titanyl phthalocyanine in crystalline conditions to show peaks at specific Bragg angles. CONSTITUTION:In the X-ray diffraction spectrum to Cu-Ka beam, it is made to contain, as photoelectric conversion material, titanyl phthalocyanine in such crystalline conditions at to show peaks at Bragg angles 2theta of 9.5+ or -0.2 deg., 24.1+ or -0.2 deg. and 27.2+ or -0.2 deg.. A photoelectric conversion layer is formed by dispersing titanyl phthalocyanine in a proper solvent, and adding a carrier transporting material, a sensitizer, a durability improving agent, etc., as needed, and then applying it on an electrode, and further by providing an electrode layer thereon it can be made into a photoelectric conversion cell. |
