PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain new polynucleotides useful for screening of antifungal compounds, treatment, diagnoses of infection, etc., by comprising nucleic acids having base sequence of a high identity to a base sequence coding iles polypeptides having a specific amino acid sequence. SOLUTION: The new isolated polynucleotides such as polynucleotide having identity at least 70% of the polynucleotide coding a polypeptide containing amino acids of the formula, polynucleotide having identity at least 70% of the polynucleotide coding a mature polypeptide same to polypeptide expressed in the iles gene contained in deposited Streptococcus pneumoniae strain, polynucleotide coding the polypeptide containing amino acid sequence having identity at least 70% of the amino acid sequence of the formula, etc., are obtained by screening clone library of chromosome DNA of Streptococcus pneumoniae 0100993 cell with labeled oligonucleotides originating from partial sequence. |
