PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for molding ceramic powder in which, in manufacturing a molded body by using a ceramic powder as a raw material, a slurry containing an organic solvent as a dispersion medium is used, and a ceramic molded body, which is excellent in handling property, homogeneity and purity and has high density, is easily obtained without marring characteristics of a ceramic raw material. SOLUTION: This method for molding ceramic powder comprises a step of preparing a slurry containing ceramic powder, polyvinyl pyrrolidone and an organic solvent as a dispersion medium, a step of treating the slurry by a spray dryer to remove the dispersion medium and performing granulation or a step of filling a casting mold with the slurry and solidifying the slurry to obtain a molded body, and optionally a step of sintering the granulated body or the molded body. It is preferred that the degree of polymerization of polyvinyl pyrrolidone is in a range of 200-2000, the sintering aid for ceramic powder is incorporated into the slurry and the viscosity and the thixotropy index of the slurry are in ranges of <=15 poise and 1.5-4.0, respectively. |
