<p>PURPOSE: To provide a safety relief valve which is opened rapidly at slight higher pressure than a set pressure level and closed rapidly at slight lower pressure. CONSTITUTION: This safety relief valve involves a movable disc part 28, a hole 27 for a disc, and a disc carrier having an inclined surface 32 for forming the first and second chambers adjacent to the hole and a skirt flange 34 protruding downwardly with a ring-shaped surface 38 on a disc carrier 26. A ring member 24 positioned movably on a valve seat 20 next to the disc carrier is also installed, and the disc 28 is deflected for sealing engagement with the valve seat. A spring assembly 44 is installed so as to be adjustable for deflection of the disc carrier in cooperation with the ring member. A flange edge has an inclination 40 for forming an orifice between the inclination and the outer peripheral surface of the ring member to let media flow out.</p> |
