PURPOSE:To firmly bond a disphragm and a current collector and to maintain the performance of a cell by forming the electrode contg. an electrode catalytic component and a thermoplastic rubber component into a film and pressure- welding the electrode to the solid electrolyte and collector. CONSTITUTION:A thermoplastic rubber excellent in corrosion resistance, e.g. a fluororubber, and an electrode catalytic component (or a carrier) are heated above the m.p. of the rubber and kneaded. The kneaded material is formed into a film-shaped electrode. The electrode is pressure-welded to a solid electrolyte and/or a current collector and integrated to obtain a cell structure of SPE type, etc. Since the electrode has good elasticity, the electrode is elastically deformed only by pressure-welding it to the diaphragm or collector, the adhesion between the welded surfaces is increased, and the performance of the cell, e.g. a decrease in resistance, is improved. |
