The system forms a wood packet directly after the sorting table, the pieces of wood being transported sideways. In a first operation, the pieces are aligned one by one to one or the other side, and in a second they are transported by conveyor one by one over packaging mechanisms to a conveyor (27) acting as a buffer. They are then delivered to a layer-formation mechanism (40) having a conveyor belt (44) on which there are no driving dogs. The layers are delivered in succession to a hoist mechanism (60), where they are separated from each other by straw. They are transferred from the formation mechanism by the blade of a lifting mechanism inserted underneath, which is then extracted, and the layer scraped off it. |
