<p>PURPOSE:To prevent decrease of the volumetric efficiency of a compressor that may be caused by delay in return of a discharge reed valve. CONSTITUTION:A discharge reed valve 20, fixed to a valve plate 4, opens and closes a discharge port 18 with elastic oscillation. The opening of the reed valve 20 is regulated by a slant and recessed surface 21a of a retainer 21, which is designed so that its radius of curvature gradually decreases toward the tip. The discharge reed valve 20 is elastically deformed gradually along the slant and recessed surface 21a from the base end side by the discharge pressure during the discharge process, and touches the slant and recessed surface 21a while being elastically deformed increasingly gradually toward the tip. The discharge reed valve 20 is removed from the retainer 21 by the action of elastic recovery force of the reed valve 20.</p> |
