<p>PURPOSE:To make a combustion chamber compact by sending a mixed gas of combustion gas and air into a first combustion chamber to effect catalytic combustion, wherein a catalyst layer is closely attached to the inside wall thereof, and thereafter effecting catalytic combustion of unburned component in a second combustion chamber wherein catalyst is provided at the center thereof. CONSTITUTION:In an iron and the like, air around a nozzle 2 is drawn by the inducing action caused by the gas flow following a blowoff of fuel gas through the nozzle 2 from a liguefied gas bomb 1 of propane liquid, which is mixed in a mixing chamber 4 and fed into a first combustion chamber 7 of a combustion chamber 5. And the mixed gas is burned over the surface of a catalyst layer 10 which is heated to a high temperature by energizing an ignition heater 11. The mixed gas near the center of the chamber 7 passes through the chamber 7 in an unburned state and enters a second combustion chamber 8 downstream of the chamber 7, where it is contacted with a catalyst layer 13 provided at the center thereof to be burned. Further, unburned component in very small quantity is burned at a third combustion chamber 9 downstream of the chamber 8, whereby a heat generating part 6 is heated to a high temperature.</p> |
