Air distributor (10) for ceiling installation, having a body (12) which has an outwardly projecting, downwardly sloping distributor ring (14), which is borne by a connecting piece (15) of substantial length protruding from the ceiling, as well as having a distributor disc (18) which, together with the distributor ring, forms an outwardly tapering outlet gap (68) for a ventilation airstream (78). The distributor disc (18) has a concave outer side and a correspondingly convex inner side, facing the outlet gap (68), and is suspended on a concentric shroud (20), which shields off about half the circumference of the outlet gap. The ventilation airstream (78) sucks in from the shroud side a surrounding airstream (80) between ceiling and ventilation airstream. The surrounding airstream (80) forms a buffer between ventilation airstream and ceiling and allows a greater flow range, a better mixing of the ventilation air with the surrounding air and a lower air conversion requirement (Fig. 5). <IMAGE> |
