PURPOSE:To provide an I/O device for falsely generating a fault in respect to an I/O operation capable of easily testing the normal operation of a channel device at the time of generating a fault on an I/O interface. CONSTITUTION:When the contents of a state storing circuit 1 for storing the state of an I/O device 20 coincides with that of a false fault timing storing circuit 2 for storing the generation timing of a false fault, a false fault generating circuit 3 generates a false fault on the I/O interface. The sort of a false fault to be generated is determined by a false fault sort storing circuit 5, and when the false fault indicates an inductor false fault, a fault for outputting the contents of a false fault inductor storing circuit 6 for storing the status of the inductor is generated, and at the time of indicating a bus data false fault, a fault for outputting the contents of a false fault bus data storing circuit 7 for storing data to be sent to the bus is generated. |
