<p>PURPOSE: To efficiently transmit a voice and the data of a computer through the same transmission line by making the inputted voice signal and control signal of a telephone set into a packet and adding information to that packet whether it is the voice signal or the control signal. CONSTITUTION: The input/output signal of the voice signal of a telephone set 301 is multiplexed on a pair of cables and separated/synthesized to signals on the transmission side and the reception side by a transmission/reception synthesizing/separating circuit 303. Further, at a voice/control signal separating circuit 304 and a voice/control signal synthesizing circuit 313, the voice signal and control signal from the telephone set are respectively separated and synthesized and communication can be controlled corresponding to the kind of the signal. At voice signal and control signal packet circuits 305 and 306, the signal is converted into a packet signal provided with priority and quality class respectively corresponding to voice and control signals. Packet transmission and reception control circuits 307 and 310 perform the communication control of transmission/reception order management and retransmission control management with the packet from the computer as the object of transmission/reception control in addition to the packets of voice and control signals.</p> |
