PURPOSE: To realize the correction of a white balance or a black level or the like with a simple and small scale circuit. CONSTITUTION: Output data from an A/D converter 2 are fed to an adder 4 and a detection section 4. An address offset signal is fed from the detection section 5 to the adder 4. An output of the adder 4 and a gamma selection signal are fed to a gamma ROM 6. An optimum gamma characteristic to output data from the adder 4 is selected on the gamma selection signal.
