FORMATION OF PRINTING IMAGE

PURPOSE: To simply form a printing image of high quality having high function/ high value added. CONSTITUTION: A printing image is formed by a method wherein a recording material 10 equipped with a support 12, the release layer 14 provided on the support 12, the recording layer 16 provided on the release layer 14 and the adhesive layer 18 provided on the recording layer 16 is superposed on the ink layer 112 of a base material sheet 110 having the ink layer 112 preformed thereon by a melt thermal transfer recording system so that the adhesive layer 18 is opposed to the base material sheet 110 to be heated on the side of the support 12 and subsequently peeled from the base material sheet 110 to transfer the recording layer 16 to the ink layer 112 through the adhesive layer 18 to form the transfer image by the recording layer 16 on the ink layer 112.
