PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject food containing a protein having an antigenicity extracted from sugi pollen as an active component and capable of easily preventing and/or treating sugi pollinosis even for a child especially low aged. SOLUTION: This food contains a protein (preferably, a major allergen Cry j I) having an antigenicity extracted from sugi pollen, a protein having high homology to the protein on the level of amino acids (preferably, having homology of >=50%) or a peptide consisting of a part of each of the proteins, as an active component. The objective food is preferably designed so that the active component can be taken at a daily dose of 0.4mg/kg-body weight. The objective food is preferably in a shape of a food such as a chewing gum or a caramel, whose active component can be sufficiently absorbed sublingually. Further, Cry j I, a main allergen of the sugi pollen, may be obtained by removing a large amount of polysaccharide components from a crude allergen and subsequently collecting a basic protein fraction from it. |
