PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developer having satisfactory dispersibility between binder resin and wax to prevent the occurrence of offset, smear, black point, and back stain in image formation by selecting a combination of wax and resin so that the PS value of a resin to be combined gets close to a wax having poor dispersibility. SOLUTION: A first wax has a solubility parameter value SP1 and a first binder resin has a solubility parameter value SP2 having a differenceΔ1 from the solubility parameter value SP1. A second wax has a solubility parameter value SP3 smaller than the solubility parameter value SP1, and a second binder resin has a solubility parameter value SP4 having a differenceΔ2 from the solubility parameter value SP1 larger thanΔ1. The wax having the higher SP value is combined with the binder resin having the SP value close to the SP value of this wax to provide a first wax-contained binder resin, and the other wax is combined with the other binder resin to provide a second wax- contained binder resin.
