<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a function equivalent to the operation of a mouse for a laser beam pointer by reading the beam wavelength of the pointer to convert it into mouse control data which can be treated by a personal computer and then controlling this computer. SOLUTION: An explainer points the necessary parts of the data, etc., shown on the screen of a personal computer 1 that is projecting on a screen 4 by means of a laser beam pointer 5. The pointer 5 has several different wavelengths and also has a function to switch these wavelengths. Then the laser wavelength that is different from that of a pointing action given on a screen 4 in an ordinary explanation mode is used as the base data on the signal that causes the actions such as the drags, etc., of a mouse when the computer 1 is used on an ordinary desk.
