Wind resistant base for parasol with attachments for other accessories

The base is a tube (2) with a conical end section (1) with a screw thread which is adapted according to the diameter of the tube and its height. At the head of the tube there is a free running sleeve (4) resting on a fixed ring (3) and a retractable handle (6) with a knob (7). The handle is placed in the horizontal position and turned using the knob while the free running section is held firm. The tube screws into the ground. The arm of the handle is then folded down. It has a cam on the inner end of the tube which holds the parasol stem in position. In the folded down position the knob on the handle can be used to support other accessories.
