DESULFURIZER AND ELECTRIC POWER PLANT USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a miniaturized low cost desulfurizer free from the lowering of the temp. of a gas to be treated and to unnecessitate the circulation or the generation of a desulfurizing agent and to obtain an electric power plant using the same. SOLUTION: A desulfurizer is provided with a sulfide ion forming part 54 for forming a sulfide ion by the reaction with a sulfur compound, a sulfur compound supply part 52 for supplying a gas containing the sulfur compound to the sulfide ion forming part 54 and a sulfide compound discharge part 53 for discharging the sulfur compound produced by the reaction of the sulfide ion from the sulfide ion forming part 54. By this constitution, a sulfur portion in the gas supplied from the sulfur compound supply part 52 is concentrated and transferred to the gas passing through the sulfur compound discharge part 53 to be removed and to be efficiently recovered.
