<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an energy absorbing stroke further longer without changing both a mounting point for an electric motor for auxiliary steering and a column mounting point. SOLUTION: This electrically driven power steering device is equipped with an input shaft mechanism part H1 having an input shaft to be connected with a steering wheel, a torque sensor mechanism part H2 having a torque sensor 5 detecting steering torque based on the quantity of the related displacement of the input shaft 1 and an output shaft 3 to be connected with the input shaft 1 by way of a torsion bar 4, and with a deceleration mechanism H3 decelerating the rotation of the electric motor for auxiliary steering, which is driven based on the result of detection by a torque sensor 5, and transmitting the aforesaid decelerated rotation to the output shaft 2 and the device is so designed that an energy absorbing stroke is made further longer by disposing the torque sensor mechanism part H2 to a place closer to the side of a steering mechanism than the deceleration mechanism H3 side.</p> |
