The invention relates to preparations with improved hardening characteristics, characterised in that they contain from 0.0005 to 50 % wt of soluble and/or finely divided, organic and/or inorganic, alkaline earth and/or alkali metals. These preparations can be used for gluing, sealing, casting and coating of substrates, as well as in preparations for dental surgeons and dental technicians, and for moulding objects, especially dental objects.
