The window comprises an insulating pane (1) and an integrated evacuated frame (9) which completely or partially replaces the ordinary frame of the window. The integrated evacuated frame increases the total insulating property of the window by breaking the heat transmission through the edge and the frame. The window is evacuated through a valve (13) which can seal the window at room temperature whereby the outgassing from melted material into the permanently sealed portion of the window is reduced.
