<p>The invention concerns a gas regulator and heater in a gas fuel injection system for an internal combustion engine, comprising a heat exchanger device using the engine cooling liquid and means for controlling the gas output pressure. The invention is characterised in that the automatic control of the gas fuel output pressure is ensured by controlling the gas fuel flow, at the regulator-heater input, using an electronic calculator. More particularly, the gas fuel output pressure is electronically adjusted at a value proportional to the pressure in the engine intake manifold, so that the gas supply device operates in sonic mode, for at least one operating range of the engine. The invention is applicable to motor vehicles.</p> |
