<p>PURPOSE:To enable an interface signal to be diagnosed in a short time, by providing a character generator, which stores a character pattern in memory, and a character generator which stores a graphic pattern in memory. CONSTITUTION:If a character code, determined by a standard of EIA, ISO, etc., is synchronously transmitted with a synchronous signal of a scanning line control part 4, a buffer register 1 stores this character code successively in memory. Subsequently, when the buffer register 1 stores the character code in memory, a character generator 2 selects a dot matrix pattern, corresponding to the character code, synchronously with the synchronous signal of the scanning line control part 4 to be output to a display unit 3. On the contrary, when the buffer register 1 stores a graphic code in memory, a character generator 5 selects a graphic pattern, corresponding to the graphic code, synchronously with the synchronous signal of the scanning line control part 4 to be output to the display unit 3.</p> |
