<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system capable of restraining drying-out of an electrolyte film. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system comprises a stack 1 generating power by using fuel gas and oxidant gas, a hydrogen temperature adjusting device 42 heating hydrogen gas to be supplied to the stack 1, and temperature sensors 119, 120 detecting a functional defect of the hydrogen temperature adjusting device 42. The operation of the stack 1 is stopped when the hydrogen temperature adjusting device 42 becomes defective. The hydrogen temperature adjusting device 42 adopts a prescribed value T<SB>solim-f</SB>, which is relatively low in comparison with a normal temperature, as a targeted temperature of a coolant T<SB>soupr</SB>, or, a period t<SB>mr-lim-f</SB>, which is relatively short in comparison with the normal operation of the hydrogen temperature adjusting device 42 is adopted as a limited period for continuing a non-humidifying operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
