PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly pliable jig saw capable of appropriately selecting, according to a content of each cutting operation by an operator, execution of cutting operation by having priority to either of efficiency of cutting operation or excellent appearance and strength maintenance of a member worked after cutting. SOLUTION: A surface plate 3 having a standard face 4 becoming a standard for cutting by abutting against a member to be worked in cutting the member to be worked, and a blade 1 provided in a free linear reciprocation by crossing the surface plate 3 almost at right angles are provided. In a jig saw wherein for the blade 1, an edge face 13 is formed on a jig saw advance direction P side in order to cut the member to be worked, and the edge face 13 is inclined by a specific angle along the jig saw advance direction P to an axis 11 of reciprocation of the blade 1, an angleαalong the jig saw advance direction P between the axis 11 and the standard face 4 can be adjusted.
