PREPARATION OF ASCITES USING CELL LINE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING MONOCLONAL ANTIBODY AGAINST alpha SUBUNIT OF HUMAN CHORIONIC GONADOTROPIN AND ASCITES OBTAINED BY THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an efficient method for preparing ascites by using a cell line capable of producing a monoclonal antibody of accession No. FERM BP-6104 of the National Institute of Bioscience and Human-Technology of the Agency of Industrial Science and Technology capable of producing the monoclonal antibody against anαsubunit (hCG-α) of chorionic gonadotropin derived from a human. SOLUTION: This method is to prepare ascites and comprises (a) a step of administering pristane into the abdominal cavity of an experimental animal, (b) a step of transplanting the cell line FERM BP-6104 capable of producing a monoclonal antibody specifically binding to the hCG-αafter administering the pristane and (c) a step of collecting the ascites just prior to the accumulation of the ascites in the abdominal cavity and the weakening of the experimental animal and resultant death thereof.
