PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems of difficulty of operation in a best matching region for an engine because, as the control is carried out only based on the tractive force applied to the working machine because of the cost increase caused by attaching a tractive force sensor in a conventional tractor which carries out a draft control by detecting the tractive force by a tractive sensor attached to a lower link, the control considering the whole load applied to the whole engine including a traveling part and the like can not be carried out. SOLUTION: A load on an engine in a tractor is detected, and when the detected value 32 of the load on the engine becomes larger than a previously set value 31 of the load on the engine, the deviation E of the loads between the detected value of the load on the engine and the set value thereof is used as one of a correction value for correcting the lift angle deviationΔθbetween the detected valueθof a lift angle and a target value of the lift angle. The set value of the load on the engine is set according to the speed of a vehicle, and when the variationΔH of the detected value of the load on the engine within some constant timeΔt is smaller than some set value, the speed of the vehicle is increased.
