PURPOSE: An automatic starting apparatus for vehicle engine is provided to reduce fuel consumption by allowing an engine to automatically stop its operation during fuel injection and to automatically start its operation upon completion of fuel injection. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus comprises a fuel injection port open/close sensing unit(10) for sensing whether the fuel injection port is opened/shutted-off and outputting fuel injection port open/shut-off signals; and a control unit(20). The control unit stops the operation of an engine driving unit(30) by outputting an ignition off signal when the fuel injection port open signal is input, the vehicle stops its operation, and the brake is on. At the state where the operation of the engine is automatically stopped, the control unit automatically starts operation of the engine by outputting an ignition on signal and a starter motor on signal and thus operating the engine driving unit and a starter motor driving unit(40), when the fuel injection port close signal is input after completion of fuel injection and a gear is located at a neural position. The control unit stops the operation of the starter motor by outputting a starter motor off signal and thus stopping operation of the starter motor driving unit after automatic starting of the engine.
