PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distortion compensation device for a high frequency power amplifier means, which can stably decide the updating value when data stored in a distortion compensation amplitude (gain) correction memory are updated corresponding to the ambient temperature. SOLUTION: In the case of updating inverse distortion data of a high frequency power amplifier means 12 for a mobile phone or the like corresponding to the ambient temperature, an envelope detection signal at input and output sides of the power amplifier means 12 is detected and converted into a digital signal, arithmetic means 20, 21 are used to calculate the deviation from a linear gain to update inverse distortion data stored in amplitude correction memories 7, 7a, 7b.
