An outward spreading device for an eyeglasses' temple capable of elastically spreading a temple outward with respect to a rim from a glasses' stand-still position, wherein a first block (7) is formed on the inner side of each of end pieces (4) at opposite left and right ends of a rim (2), and a second block (9) is formed on the inner side of the base of the temple (5). A slot is formed in either one of the first block (7) and the second block (9), and a connecting shaft (11) that is inserted into the slot and rotatably connects the both blocks together is provided on the other block. A spring (12) associated with the connecting shaft (11) is disposed in a grooved in the slot. The connecting shaft (11) is constructed such that it is positioned in a first region of the slot when the temple (5) is in a glasses' stand-still position, and is positioned in a second region of the slot to deform the spring (12) when the temple is spread outward, thereby giving the temple (5) a restoring force in the stand-still direction.
