PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agent for promoting arginase activity capable of continuously imparting moisturizing action to skin by controlling arginase activity in skin even by use of slight amount of the agent and excellent in safety and stability. SOLUTION: This agent for promoting arginase activity comprises an extract of root of Platycodon grandiflorum as an active ingredient.
