PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an original plate for a lithographic printing plate, by which the scanning exposure of an image in a short period of time by laser beams or the like is possible, the making of a plate installed directly onto a printer can be possible without necessitating the plate making through a simple water development treatment operation or the development treatment, which has a favorable plate wearability even under severe printing conditions and out of which a scumming-free printed matter is obtained. SOLUTION: This original plate is produced by providing a cross-linked hydrophilic layer including a hydrophilic high molecular compound having a cross-linked structure and a hydrophilic graft chain. In addition, the cross-linked hydrophilic layer includes a compound, which turns the surface of the layer into a hydrophobic one under heat or radiation. |
