<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dehumidifier excellent in dehumidification performance, energy efficiency and stability over a long period of time by regulating the moisture content of an adsorbent packed in the dehumidifier in the range better in adsorption/desorption efficiency of the moisture content. SOLUTION: This dehumidifier 1 is constituted so that an air discharge port 8 and an air intake port 5 are arranged on the walls of a housing 6 and an adsorbent 4, a heater 3 for heating the adsorbent 4, a driving system 10 for opening/closing the ports 8 and 5 and a control system 11 for controlling the heater 3 and the system 10 are housed in the housing 6. The water adsorption and water desorption of the adsorbent 4 are carried out in the range that the moisture content of the adsorbent satisfies the relational expression: 0.4<=C/ S<=(-8×10-0.5X3-0.0083X2-0.1824X+20,867)/S (wherein S (unit: mass %) is the saturated moisture content of the adsorbent 4; C (unit: mass %) is the moisture content of the adsorbent 4; X is the wall thickness of the adsorbent 4-housed adsorbing tank).</p> |
