PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor facilitating assembly at low cost, by simplifying press means for giving a pressure to a metal bearing of a metal bearing unit used in the electric motor. SOLUTION: A spring for pressing a metal bearing in a metal bearing unit is eliminated, a function of this spring is included in a retainer plate. That is, four cut and raised arms 15c are provided in a state of a circle concentric with a hole 15a in the inside periphery, in the retainer plate 15 composed o spring steel in the metal bearing unit. A tip end part of the arm 15c is bent to shorten in the direction of the metal bearing 14, pressed to an inner side of a frame 13 and is brought into contact therewith.
