PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alkaline secondary battery that is improved in airtightness and enhanced in charge and discharge cycle life. SOLUTION: In an alkaline secondary battery which is equipped with a metal container 1, a group of electrodes that are housed in the container 1 and interpose a separator between a positive electrode and a negative electrode, an alkaline electrolyte to be stored on the container 1, and a metal sealing plate welded at the opening part of the container 1, a resin layer 19 is formed at least at the border between the container 1 and the sealing plate. |
