PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique by which the degree of freedom for arranging parts can be improved at the time of incorporating a high-frequency transmission line in variable characteristic to equipment. SOLUTION: The high-frequency transmission line in variable characteristic is provided with a transmission line which transmits high frequency signals and a plane electrode which is formed in parallel with the transmission line through a dielectric layer. The dielectric layer is composed of a plate-shaped member formed by entwining fibers each other or a fibrous dielectric prepared by impregnating a porous film with liquid crystals. The high-frequency transmission line in variable characteristic is sealed in a flexible enclosure.
