<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new bodily sensible plotter which enables a user to bodily feel an image by tactual sense. <P>SOLUTION: A bodily sensible plotter 10 includes a disk plate 14, and an image is displayed on the disk plate 14 by a computer 28. The image is plotted by the user or the like and is displayed as flowing. When the user plots the image by using a pointing device 20, at least one of an inertia force based on the weight of a color defined in accordance with the color, a fluid resistance force based on flow of the image, and a color frictional resistance force in a boundary of the color of the displayed image is applied. The computer 28 generates a driving voltage for applying these forces and gives it to inverters 18a and 18b of a linear motor 16 through a signal processor 26 for peripheral devices. Consequently, a translation force acts upon a conductor 20a to present a force to the user grasping the pointing device 20. Since forces according with the color and flow of the image are presented, the user can not only feel devotion to drawing a picture in an actual canvas but also enjoy an imaginary feel of the image obtained by weights defined for colors and feelings brought about by events resulting from flow of the image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
