A paper feeding device, comprising a kicker roller (10) brought into contact with the surface of forefront paper sheets (P) among a plurality of paper sheets in a stacked state and kicking the paper sheets, a feed roller (20) feeding the paper sheets kicked by the kicker roller (10), and a press-fitti ng roller (30) installed to be press-fitted to the feed roller (20) and forming , between the press-fitting roller and the feed roller (20), a gate part (G) separating, into pieces, the paper sheets fed by the feed roller (20). The kicker roller (10) comprises a base body part (11) and a high friction part (12) formed on a part of the outer periphery of the base body part (11) in t he circumferential direction and kicking the forefront paper sheets (P). The fe ed roller (20) comprises a base body part (21) and a high friction part (22) formed on all the outer periphery of the base body part (21), brought into contact with the surface of the paper sheets kicked by the kicker roller (10 ), and feeding the paper sheets.
