A method and a system for donating small change are provided to enable a customer conveniently to donate the small change, which is left after cash payment or is held by the customer, to a donation receiving organization in name of the customer by enabling the customer to directly select the donation receiving organization. A donation card(10) is held by the customer, and has an MS(Magnetic Stripe), IC, or mobile card type. A card terminal(20) is installed to a member shop and transfers donation information by reading card information from the donation card and receiving a donation amount. A banking processing system(40) withdraws the small change to be donated from a member shop account and transfers the withdrawn small change to an account of the donation receiving organization in the name of the customer by receiving a transfer request from an operation server(30), and informs the operation server of a donation result. A donation organization system(50) checks the donation amount deposited by receiving the donation information. The operation server issues the donation card of the donation receiving organization selected by the customer. |
