PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new ink jet recording sheet having more enhanced water resistance as needed by improving both a water resistance and ink absorbability and a suitably developing ink fixability to improve a color developability. SOLUTION: In the ink jet recording sheet comprising an ink receptive layer containing a nonionic water absorbable urethane polymer and provided on a base material, a water expansion coefficient of the urethane polymer is 105 to 200%. The receptive layer contains a pigment of 50 to 500 wt.% with respect to a solid content of the urethane polymer. A mixture ratio of the urethane polymer (a) to a hydrophobic resin (b) is preferably set to b/a=2/1 to 1/4 in terms of the solid content. |
