<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long grommet inserting device capable of inserting a long grommet with a connector attached to a wiring harness when inserting the wiring harness in the long grommet, and improving the local oppression of the wiring harness, the bite of the grommet in a grommet locking means, and the slipping property and the wear resistance of the surface of a grommet inserting tool, and a long grommet inserting method using the same. <P>SOLUTION: A grommet inserting tool has a stopper having a semi-circular or U-shaped section on at least a connector storage part side, alternatively, a flange is provided inwardly on the rear end of the connector storage part of the grommet inserting tool in place of a stopper, and/or a second half of the connector storage part of the grommet inserting tool is formed conical. In addition, the surface of the inserting tool is mirror-finished to smoothly insert the grommet. A grommet locking means has a locking piece fore end which is formed of a material not to coarsen the surface of the grommet inserting tool, and has a shape not generating any bite of the grommet in the locking means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
